Advice Information & GuidanceThe centre is well known for its Advice Information & Guidance, which are available from Monday – Thursday from 09:00 – 14:00. On these days and times people can come and visit the centre without an appointment. These drop-in sessions offer support to people with a range of problems including;
- Utility Bills
The service is open to all, and our most frequent users are of Somali, Slavic and Arabian heritage as well as refugees and asylum seekers. Staff from the centre mainly deal as intermediaries between the customer and business, which can range from helping you fill out a form or booking an appointment, to dealing with utility bills and benefit agencies. This service is also for people who are unsure if they have a problem, where they can check with our staff on what action to take when dealing with bills or forms. In the few cases where we are unable to help, SDS will always direct you to the people who can.
